Mitch and Matt Painter, Founders of Prestige Properties

Built Through Experience, Not Shortcuts

At age eighteen, founder Mitch Painter purchased his first investment properties while attending the University of Cincinnati.

With little money and no experience, he learned every aspect of the business firsthand.

For years, he personally renovated apartments, handled maintenance calls, managed tenants, leased units, and oversaw construction projects while building a foundation that guides the company today.

The goal was to become exceptionally good at owning and operating real estate.

What started as a handful of rental properties eventually grew into more than 1,500 transactions, a portfolio of 700 apartment units, and a team of professionals focused on creating long-term value.

Matt joined the business full-time in 2003 and helped accelerate growth through acquisitions, relationship building, and strategic expansion.

Today, Prestige combines decades of hands-on operating experience with institutional-level systems, reporting, and execution.
